Executive Director, Global Credit Finance Leader

The Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce is seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead our Global Credit Finance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a multi-billion dollar portfolio of collateral assets and providing commentary on the loan market.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the growth of our credit financing business by identifying new loan financing mandates and approving credit assets for inclusion in existing facilities.
- Conduct fundamental credit analysis of loans, with a focus on the European loan market, and provide input into deal structuring.
- Work closely with our clients, sales and distribution teams, risk management, treasury, and other stakeholders to identify new client collateral finance trade opportunities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and stakeholders to drive business growth and revenue.
- Stay up-to-date on current and developing regulatory issues, as well as CIBC policies, guidelines, and procedures.
- Credit professional with 10+ years of leveraged lending/corporate credit risk management/portfolio credit/loan workout experience.
- Extensive knowledge of European private credit and broadly syndicated loan markets.
- Credit risk management mindset with the ability to identify and assess factors that can lead to credit deterioration.
- Familiarity with structured credit/loan warehousing is an asset.
This role operates within a normal office environment, requiring strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team.
