Production Operative - Food Industry

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Production Operative to join our team in Tewkesbury. As a key member of our production team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food production line.

This is a permanent position, with a successful trial period leading to a permanent contract. Immediate start is available.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To operate a variety of machinery producing units of packed products.
  • Pack finished products on the end of the line ready to send through to distribution.
  • To maintain a high standard of quality throughout the production process.
  • To ensure excellent hygiene standards are maintained in line with Company procedure.
  • To communicate any issues as they arise.
  • To follow all Company procedures.
  • To adhere to Health and Safety standards.
  • To work in a flexible and organized manner.
  • Training, coaching, and mentoring of other team members.
  • To carry out any other duties reasonably requested by your Supervisor or Manager.
  • To understand and comply with the Company's Health and Safety Policy Statement.

Requirements:

  • Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Good numeracy skills.
  • Positive attitude with high levels of commitment and motivation.
  • Flexibility to work varying shift patterns and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills to work effectively in a team.
  • Ability to work on fast-moving production lines.
  • Forward thinking with a 'can do' attitude.
  • Ability to pass Level 2 Food Safety.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience working in a dairy or similar food production sector.
  • Knowledge of food production, food hygiene, and associated procedures.

Working Hours:

Rotating shifts, Monday to Saturday, with 2 rest days per week.

06:00am - 14:00pm and 14:00pm/15:00pm - 22:00pm.

Rate of Pay:

£11.57 per hour.
