Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Service Charge Accounts Payable team at British Land. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for processing invoices and statements in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with our commitment to the Prompt Payment Code.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and match approximately 300 invoices per week, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Monitor the approval of invoices, ensuring prompt processing and payment.
  • Respond to ad-hoc queries from suppliers, colleagues, and external site teams in a professional and timely manner.
  • Reconcile supplier statements, identifying and resolving any issues.
  • Assist with the weekly BACS cycle and raise CHAPS as needed.
  • Ensure all outstanding debit/credit balances are regularly cleared from the purchase ledger.
  • Perform general ad-hoc duties as required.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in purchase ledger processing.
  • Ability to solve problems and resolve queries in a timely manner.
  • Methodical, highly organized, and attentive to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a professional manner.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word and Excel.
