As a Finance Assistant, you will be responsible for a range of tasks including:

Purchase Ledger:
  • Inputting purchase invoices into Sage 200
  • Statement checking and reconciliation
  • Preparing supplier payment runs
  • Processing ad-hoc supplier payments
  • Issuing proforma payments
  • Liaising with suppliers as required

Bank and Cash:
  • Entering daily bank transactions into the system
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Recording and reconciling petty cash
  • Posting company credit card transactions to the system
  • Monitoring and reconciling Sagepay and payzone transactions

Sales Ledger and Credit Control:
  • Distributing daily sales invoices
  • Providing statements to customers
  • Resolving customer queries efficiently
  • Issuing copy invoices and statements as required
  • Chasing overdue debts

The Person:
  • Able to work in a fast-paced and interesting environment
  • Happy to work in an office-based role
  • Previous experience working within transactional finance
  • Sound understanding of systems and good Excel skills
  • We welcome candidates who are studying, part-way through AAT, or qualified by experience
