About This Opportunity:

This Behaviour Support Assistant role is an exciting chance to make a positive impact on the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Working in a Primary school in Margate, you will be part of a dedicated team that provides support and guidance to students who require additional help.

The successful candidate will have experience working with children with SEN, either in an education or pastoral setting. They will be responsible for assessing students' progress, discussing their development with teachers, parents/carers, and external agencies as needed. A full-time position is available, with a salary range of £83.33-£90 per day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with teachers and other support staff to develop strategies for supporting children with SEN
  • Providing individualised support to students with specific needs
  • Collaborating with external agencies to ensure students receive the best possible support

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)
  • Experience working with children with SEN in an education, pastoral, or personal setting
  • Ability to obtain an enhanced DBS on the update service
