Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Healthcare Support Specialist to join our team at Digitaltidewave. In this role, you will provide high-quality patient care and support, working closely with our clinical staff to ensure the safe and efficient transfer of patients.

As a Healthcare Support Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing physical interventions as required to ensure patient comfort and safety
  • Driving Prometheus ambulances when necessary to transport patients to their destinations
  • Assisting qualified nurses in conveying and transferring patients under their care
  • Ensuring adequate handover of patient details, including risk history and current presentation
  • Completing all paperwork required for patient transfers in the absence of an RMN for informal patients
  • Providing crisis intervention to patients experiencing mental health difficulties during transfers
  • Responding to emergencies during duty hours
  • Maintaining good working relationships between staff and patients throughout transfers
  • Reporting accidents, complaints, and untoward incidents promptly to the Clinical Logistics Manager

Our ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be able to drive ambulances, and have high-quality patient care skills. Crisis intervention skills, knowledge of safeguarding policies, and ability to work well in a team are also desirable.

The estimated salary for this role is £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience.
