Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Security Officer to join our team. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of our venues, ensuring that all events and activities run smoothly and without incident.
Main Responsibilities- Act as a first point of contact for employees and visitors, providing a professional and friendly service
- Investigate and report all allegations of loss, theft, criminal damage, and other incidents
- Monitor and maintain fire, security, and building systems
- Manage crowd safety and queue management
- Ensure the safety of all residents, guests, and staff at sites throughout your shift
- Monitor and maintain pedestrian flow at key areas inside and outside the arena
- Be aware of and react to emergency situations as detailed in the Incident and Emergency Plans
- Deter anti-social behavior, theft, and criminal activity
- SIA Licence is essential
- Experience of working within the security industry/environment is an advantage
- Exceptional customer service skills
- An enthusiastic, can-do attitude
- Significant experience in a public-facing, customer service role with the ability to deal with challenging situations
- The ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Excellent time-keeping to ensure you arrive ready for pre-event briefings, training, and shift handovers
