About the Position

Polaris Community seeks a skilled and compassionate Youth Development Professional to join our residential care team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing tailored support to young people aged 8-18, promoting their social, emotional, and educational growth.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with colleagues to develop and implement individualised care plans, focusing on academic and personal achievement.
  • Engage in outdoor and indoor activities, ensuring a balanced and engaging lifestyle for residents.
  • Collaborate with parents, carers, and other professionals to maintain open and respectful communication channels.
  • Manage behaviour and conflicts effectively, prioritising de-escalation techniques and crisis management.
  • Document progress and observations accurately, contributing to resident reviews and developmental planning.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Diploma Level 3 in Working with Children & Young People or equivalent.
  • Full UK driving license and willingness to drive as part of the job.

Salary Range: £26,500 - £31,000 annually.
