Tax Administration Specialist Job DescriptionAbout the Role

The World Bank Group is seeking a highly skilled Tax Administration Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Governance Global Practice, you will work closely with our clients to design and implement effective tax administration systems that promote economic growth and reduce poverty.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead analytical work for the Global Tax Administration Program, providing technical expertise to project teams and client countries.
  • Represent the World Bank in international fora, establishing collaborative relationships with donors and other international development actors.
  • Apply your experience and expertise to WBG projects and analytics, providing relevant, practical advice to senior government officials on contemporary practices in Tax Administration.
  • Cultivate strategic relationships with client countries and Development partners for business development.
  • Co-lead the development of capacity building curricula for Tax Administration Forums and other global and regional events.
Requirements
  • An advanced degree in economics, public policy, political science, or a relevant discipline, with relevant hands-on experience in the revenue administration system of a country.
  • Strong interpersonal, communications, and writing skills, with excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Proven research interests in revenue administration issues, with a strong track record of academic and policy-relevant publications.
  • Strong team player with a capacity to work effectively across different sectors and within diverse, multidisciplinary teams.
