Job Summary

This post provides clinical leadership of the occupational therapy team in a regional specialist care provider. The post holder will work autonomously and deliver advanced occupational therapy assessment and acute rehabilitation of adult inpatients with complex needs.

Main Duties of the Job

The post holder will assess and treat complex patients, maintain patient records, and lead on high-quality acute assessment and rehabilitation pathways.

Key Responsibilities

The post holder will be responsible for operational management, ensuring delivery of high-quality person-centered acute rehabilitation, measured by clinical outcomes, patient experience, and patient safety measures.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have a degree or diploma in occupational therapy, HCPC registration, and evidence of continued professional development. They will also have a commitment to advanced clinical and professional development, as well as leadership training and postgraduate management training.

Experience and Skills

The post holder will have a minimum of 1 year's NHS experience, with a broad range of experience at junior, band 6, and band 7 levels, including experience of managing and supervising a multi-professional therapy team.
