Nursery Room Leader/Assistant Deputy Nursery Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Nursery Room Leader/Assistant Deputy Nursery Manager. As a key member of our nursery team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to our children, while also contributing to the development of our service and team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional care and education to children, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
  • Act as a key person to a number of children, maintaining regular contact with parents and carers.
  • Ensure the nursery room is compliant with internal and external policies and regulations.
  • Plan and deliver daily activities, aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
  • Carry out supervisions and evaluations, ensuring the highest standards of care and education.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure they are filed accordingly.
  • Act as a mentor and provide leadership to junior members of staff.
  • Ensure the nursery has good staffing levels and arrange cover when needed.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of a Level 3 childcare-related qualification.
  • GCSE or equivalent English and Mathematics Grade C or above (if Childcare Qualification achieved after September 2014).
  • Excellent knowledge of EYFS and OFSTED frameworks.
  • Good time management and organisational skills.
