Job Title: Driver and Trade Counter Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Driver and Trade Counter Assistant to join our team at Meridian Business Support. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, supporting trade counter sales, and ensuring the smooth operation of our branch.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide outstanding customer service and support to new and existing customers
  • Assist with trade counter sales, confidently communicating product knowledge to customers
  • Pick, load, and deliver products to customers using 5-tonne flatbed trucks and LWB vans
  • Plan and execute routes safely, ensuring the Company vehicle is clean and well-maintained
  • Support the Branch Manager with daily operations, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety policies and procedures
  • Contribute to achieving sales targets, developing positive customer relationships, and maintaining branch standards
Requirements:
  • Full and valid driving license
  • Previous experience in a trade, builders merchant, or retail environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
