We are seeking a skilled Costs Draftsperson to join our Specialist Legal Costs department in a leading consumer law firm. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of drafting bills of costs, including Precedent S Electronic Bills, N260's, Schedules for JSM and Precedent H Cost budgets using costmaster.
The successful candidate will oversee the issuing of the Notice of Commencement and associated documents, deal with budget negotiations, and prepare Precedent R and Precedent T documents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting bills of costs, including Precedent S Electronic Bills, N260's, Schedules for JSM and Precedent H Cost budgets using costmaster
- Issuing the Notice of Commencement and associated documents
- Dealing with budget negotiations
- Preparing Precedent R and Precedent T documents
- Communicating effectively with stakeholders, providing advice, negotiating and agreeing costs with paying party solicitors, and preparing points of reply and matters for provisional/detailed assessment
