We are seeking a skilled and motivated Costs Draftsperson to join our dynamic team at NewLaw. As a leading specialist law firm, we provide a service that 95% of our clients would recommend.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to deepen your experience in costs law, develop leadership skills, and contribute to a growing, client-focused team. As a Costs Draftsperson, you will be responsible for drafting and managing caseloads effectively, ensuring all work is completed with attention to detail and a focus on profitability.
Key Responsibilities- Drafting and preparing documents to a high standard in terms of presentation and attention to detail.
- Providing technical support and supervision to junior members of the team, acting as a mentor to help them develop their skills.
- Maintaining high standards of client service, ensuring that all time spent is recorded accurately and that case management systems are utilised efficiently.
- Mastering the budgeting process while maximizing the recovery of costs and maintaining the highest level of accuracy.
- Previous experience working as a Costs Draftsperson / Cost Lawyer handling a caseload.
- Expertise in drafting and preparing documents to a high standard in terms of presentation and attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of preparing detailed costs estimates and security for costs applications.
- Excellent communicator both in person and in writing, confident and comfortable writing reporting and presenting information to a variety of stakeholders.
