Commercial Vehicle Maintenance Specialist

We are recruiting an experienced and skilled Vehicle Technician to join our team at Royal Mail Group in Huntingdon Workshop. As a key member of our workshop team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on commercial vehicles.
About the Role:
- You will work as part of a close-knit team to maintain a fleet of over 49,000 vehicles, including traditional fuel and electric vehicles, LCVs, and HGVs.
- You will use your skills and experience to diagnose and repair issues with a variety of makes and models of commercial vehicles.
- You will perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, brake checks, and tire rotations, as well as more complex repairs, such as engine and transmission overhauls.
- You will work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and achieve targets.
Requirements:
- You must have a valid UK driving license and be able to drive a manual vehicle.
- You must hold an IMI Level 3 qualification in Light or Heavy Vehicle Mechanics or equivalent.
- You must have a proven track record of working with a range of commercial vehicles and equipment.
- You must be flexible and able to work a rotating shift pattern, including Saturdays.
- You must have excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Working Hours:
- Full-time hours: 39.5 hours per week (rotating shift pattern).
- Saturdays: 1 in 3 weekends (with a weekday day off).
Salary Information:
Estimated annual salary: $38,114 + shift allowance + overtime = $70,000 approx.
