Healthcare Receptionist Position Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and approachable healthcare receptionist to join our team at NHS Scotland.

About the Job:
  • This is a permanent position, offering 28-30 hours of work per week, with flexible working hours between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for providing reception services to patients, including checking-in, answering queries, and handling payments.
Key Responsibilities:
  • To provide exceptional customer service to patients, ensuring a positive experience and resolving any issues promptly.
  • To maintain accurate and up-to-date records, adhering to strict confidentiality and data protection policies.
  • To work effectively as part of a team, communicating clearly and collaboratively to achieve shared goals.
  • To stay up-to-date with changing regulations, guidelines, and best practices in healthcare administration.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 1 year's experience in a similar role, preferably within the NHS or healthcare sector.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.

Salary: £37.80 per hour (permanent position)
