About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled marketing and communications professional to join the team at the National Trust. As Senior Communications Officer, you will play a key role in leading the development and delivery of communications for the property, aligning with our national strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies to promote the property and engage with local audiences.
  • Work closely with the Senior Visitor Experience Officer and garden teams to identify and share stories about the property through social media and marketing channels.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local businesses and stakeholders to foster meaningful connections with the community.
  • Write press releases, work with journalists and photographers, and seek out new opportunities to promote the property.
  • Manage and evaluate social media presence, campaigns, and metrics to ensure effective engagement.
Requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with external partners and stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop creative and engaging communication media.
  • Good understanding of how to build an engaging webpage.
  • Experience in social media management.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and consistency across all communication materials.
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure.
