**Communication Officer**
I am working with a Public Sector Organisation based in Gloucestershire who are looking for a Communication Officer for 12 months fixed term contract.
The role is full time, to start ASAP and paying up to £35,094 Umbrella per annum. The role is in scope of IR35.

**Job Purpose**
- The Project and Communications Officer, reporting to the Senior Project Manager, will provide business, project and communications support and deal with a range of issues in a fast-paced environment.
- The post holder must also work autonomously and using their own initiative with a sound understanding of the business of GMS and current practices to manage workload and ensure information is communicated appropriately and enquiries are directed correctly.
- Responsibilities of the role will include:
- Providing a high calibre Project management support regarding cross organisational communications including internal and external communications supported by all media outlets including social media.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Support the business in the management and delivery of change across GMS Encouraging innovation, safe working, progression and learning through regular and effective communication, staff briefing and liaison, and building of relationships with staff at all levels. Ensure that health and safety is adhered to and implemented in working areas.
- Provide clear leadership, be a positive role model and actively promote both the GMS vision and strategic aims and values.
- Encourage our team to take pride in what they do, improve the care and services they provide; and enable them to understand how they contribute to the success of the company
- Show colleagues compassion and care by listening and offering empathy and understanding to help create a supportive workplace

- To create and manage administrative systems to support business needs, creating templates for all formal correspondence, i.e. board documents and ensuring these incorporate the GMS Branding.
- Research, develop and implement administration policies and procedures liaising with the SLT as necessary to ensure governance arrangements are in place.
- Assist in the planning, management, coordination, and delivery of projects within agreed timescales.
- Provide project support and coordination on key work streams as assigned.
- Promote and follow a consistent approach to project management.
- Update project-wide documents as and when required including templates, procedures, master registers, dashboards, and formal documentation such as steering group papers.
- Working with the trust and Communications colleagues to ensure the website is accurate and up to date.
**Knowledge & Skills**
- Educated to degree level in Business Administration or equivalent level of experience (5 years)
- Proven experience of being an Executive Assistant to a senior level executive delivering similar tasks to those outlined in the job description
- Experience of executive level minute taking and in preparing reports and action plans
- Ability to work as member of a team across multi-functional services and also work independently
- Diplomatic when dealing with sensitive operational or people matters
