Your expertise will play a critical role in designing, simulating, testing, and validating radiation shielding technology, ensuring the safety and security of our submarines and their crew.
Your Key ResponsibilitiesAs a member of our specialist team, you'll be involved in:
- Designing and optimizing radiation shielding systems to meet stringent build requirements.
- Planning and conducting experiments to validate system performance.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure radiation shielding technology is effective and safe.
- Assessing the impact of design changes on radiation shielding systems and providing expert advice.
- Developing and maintaining radiological safety justifications for proposed design solutions.
- Creating models and code to support radiation shielding design and verification.
To succeed in this role, you'll need a strong foundation in Physics or Maths, with a minimum 2.2 degree classification. You'll also need to be a team player with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
