Senior R&D Project Manager

About the Role

Cambridge GaN Devices is seeking a highly skilled Senior R&D Project Manager to join our growing engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the planning and delivery of internal product and technology development projects, as well as possible public-funded projects.

Main Responsibilities

  • Responsible for several CGD's product development projects, technology projects and public-funded projects, including interaction with external partners or suppliers
  • Supporting the project management team and help to constantly improve project management procedures
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams focused on delivering new or upgraded products
  • Support projects through all phases from concept and requirements to completion, including tracking and evaluation of project performance, using state-of-the-art project management methodologies and tools
  • Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and within accepted quality metrics
  • Responsible for project review and status meetings and communicating project status
  • Support and maintain project documentation

Requirements

Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Masters' degree with an engineering or science background
  • Previous experience working in a similar role
  • Experience of semiconductor or power electronics development from concept to production
  • Comprehensive knowledge of project management
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, start-up environment
  • Willing and able to travel and work with partners in Europe, Americas and Asia
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Strategic thinker with practical skills and experience
  • Motivated by nature, responsive to changing needs of the projects and business
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills
