Job Overview

Job Title: Head of Aircraft Management

Location: Warton, with flexible working arrangements available.

Salary: £71,200

Job Summary:

  • Lead the Maintenance and Support Competency Centre to deliver existing services and develop new services within the aircraft maintenance and support domain.
  • Define and coordinate IT and business resources to meet specific business objectives while maintaining professional standards, accountability, and equality.
  • Review management processes to ensure compliance with corporate governance of IT and ensure effective controls are in place for internal delegation, audit, and control.
  • Set and deploy IT expenditure, ensuring financial targets are met and examining areas where budgets and expenditure exceed tolerances.
  • Assist with the definition and operation of effective financial control and decision-making, especially in service, projects, and component cost models.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction to the Maintenance and Support Competency Centre team.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the team.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs and develop solutions.
  • Manage budgets and resources to ensure the successful delivery of projects and services.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate governance and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Significant experience in the delivery of key projects in a General Management skill set.
  • Experience working in an IT Function and relevant field.
  • Experience managing within an IT Function and relevant field.
  • Ideal knowledge of supply chain systems and aircraft maintenance systems.
  • Familiarity with IT trends and good practice.
