Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Primary School in Barnet. The successful candidate will work closely with a child in their Year 2 class, providing individualized support to help them stay engaged and succeed academically.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one support to a student with Autism, assisting with classroom activities and homework
- Work collaboratively with the class teacher to develop and implement individualized education plans
- Assist with classroom preparation, including setting up materials and equipment
- Support the class teacher in managing student behavior and promoting a positive learning environment
Requirements
- Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs, particularly Autism
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Confident and patient approach to working with students
