Job Opportunity: SEND Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Specialist SEND high school in Hammersmith & Fulham. This is a long-term, full-time opportunity with a potential temp to perm arrangement for the right candidate.

The Role

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work with several children in KS3 who have autism and need some extra support. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with SEND and be able to provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the class teacher in delivering lessons and providing individual support to students
  • Assist with the development and implementation of individual education plans
  • Provide a safe and supportive learning environment for students
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about working with children with SEND and has the following skills and experience:

  • Experience working with children with autism and other SEND
  • Ability to provide individual support and guidance to students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment
