M&E Cost Consultant Responsibilities:
- Prepare and assess supplier and subcontractor inquiries.
- Draft and distribute contract documents to the supply chain.
- Manage financial and contractual oversight of subcontractor accounts.
- Provide data analysis and insights on issues and risks.
- Authorize the issuance of contracts, purchase orders, and change orders.
- Engage with subcontractors regarding variations and final accounts.
- Submit valuations and negotiate with the main contractor/client.
- Agree on variations with the main contractor/client.
- Finalize accounts with the main contractor.
- Report on project performance internally, including Cost Value Reports (CVRs).
M&E Cost Consultant Requirements:
- A degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering with 3 to 5+ years of commercial experience.
- Skilled in reviewing technical drawings for variations, valuations, and take-offs.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Self-driven with a positive attitude and a high level of professionalism.
- Proficient in MS Office, especially MS Excel.
