About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Advisory Teacher to join our Virtual School team. As an Advisory Teacher, you will play a crucial role in supporting and advising school leaders, social workers, and staff to identify educational barriers for children in care. Your expertise will help develop strategies to improve educational attainment and deliver high-quality training and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide intensive educational casework for a designated cohort of children and young people
  • Deliver the education vision for our Virtual School
  • Ensure high-quality personal education plans are in place for each child
  • Work directly with children and young people to ensure their educational needs are met
  • Develop positive and effective relationships with schools, leaders, and teachers
  • Support the development and delivery of cross-service training for school staff, carers, and social workers
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual with a minimum of a 2.2 degree, qualified teacher status, and well-developed knowledge of relevant education and social care legislation and policy. You will have experience of working with children in care and a strong understanding of educational theory and research. Your excellent communication and presentation skills will enable you to build strong relationships with a diverse group of clients and professionals.
