About the Role

Compass Community School Athelstan is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, as well as those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Our students require a high level of support, and we are looking for someone who can provide a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment. You will work closely with our teaching staff to deliver tailored support and ensure our students receive the best possible education.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting teaching and learning through individual and group work
  • Managing classroom resources and creating engaging displays
  • Accompanying students on educational trips and visits
  • Providing emotional support and promoting student wellbeing
  • Participating in therapeutic training sessions and reflecting on practice
