Job Title: HLTA (SEN) Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic HLTA (SEN) Support Specialist to join our team at GSL Education in Lincoln.

About the Role:

GSL Education is committed to providing high-quality educational support to students with a range of special educational needs. As an HLTA (SEN) Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing personalized support to students, assisting in planning and delivering tailored educational activities, and supporting the class teacher in managing classroom behaviour.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality support to students with SEN, including developing and implementing individualized learning plans.
  • Assist in planning and delivering educational activities that cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Support the class teacher in managing classroom behaviour, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and record student progress and development, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a HLTA with SEN expertise.
  • Strong understanding of SEN strategies and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals.
  • A compassionate and patient approach to working with students.

Please note that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including providing an enhanced DBS on the update service or completing an application for a new check.
