Director of Operations and Compliance

About the Position:

We are seeking a highly motivated Director of Operations and Compliance to join our team at Alter Domus. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead a team of depositary specialists and drive business growth.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational activities of our depositary team, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining high-quality client relationships. Key responsibilities include leading a team of depositary specialists, managing client onboarding, developing and implementing process improvements, and maintaining accurate records and reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of depositary specialists, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent client service and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Develop and implement process improvements, enhancing efficiency and quality across the depositary team.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide exceptional client service, addressing queries and concerns in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Develop and implement effective training programs to enhance colleague skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in fund services, preferably in compliance, regulatory, or depositary leadership roles.
  • Excellent knowledge of the UK funds industry, with experience in private equity, real estate, or debt preferred.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with professional certifications such as ACCA or ICSA advantageous.

Salary Range:

£80,000 - £100,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
