Job Description

NatPower UK is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Head of Grid Development. This position will be responsible for overseeing the development of utility-scale renewable energy projects, with a focus on grid infrastructure and transmission and distribution connections.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in power system analysis, transmission and distribution, and renewable energy project development. They will be responsible for managing grid connection applications, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with industry best practices.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering large-scale projects, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage grid connection applications for renewable energy projects
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project delivery
  • Ensure compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including transmission and distribution operators
  • Identify and evaluate new project opportunities, including financial modeling and risk assessment

Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience in the energy sector, with a focus on transmission and distribution
  • Strong background in power system analysis and renewable energy project development
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and AutoCAD
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to adapt to a fast-paced development schedule
