Production Supervisor

Geary's Bakeries Ltd is seeking a skilled Production Supervisor to join our team on a night shift basis. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our bakery, managing and developing our team of operatives, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and develop the production team to ensure the efficient operation of the bakery
- Ensure adherence to all processes and controls, including food safety and health and safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with the wider business, including the shift operations manager and other departments
- Meet business KPIs and drive a strong, non-compromising health and safety culture
- Provide support and training to the team, including new starters and those requiring development
- Liaise with labour agencies and provide feedback on performance and service level
- Effectively communicate with other departments in the wider business
- Take an active role in audits and high-profile visits
- Deputise for the shift operations manager when required
Requirements:
- Great communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
- A passion to learn and develop, with a willingness to take on new challenges
- Resilience and tenacity to drive motivation and improve performance
- Experience in food manufacturing, preferably in a bakery environment
- Good understanding of food safety and health and safety protocols
- Experience in leading and supporting a team of people, with a flexible approach to working hours
