Job Title: Financial Strategist

Location: Winchester

Estimated Salary: £45k-50k per annum (pro rata)

This is an exciting opportunity to join the executive team at Marwell Wildlife as a Financial Strategist. As a key member of the leadership team, you will provide strategic financial guidance and support to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in driving business growth and success.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in finance leadership, with experience in running a sizeable financial department and developing commercial strategies. You will be a qualified accountant or have a financial qualification, such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA, and possess excellent people management skills, including coaching and inspiring others.

You will work closely with the CEO to develop and implement a financial strategy that aligns with the organisational objectives. This will involve building key relationships with external stakeholders, including donors and financial institutions, as well as internal stakeholders, such as the Head of Fundraising and the Board of Trustees.

In this role, you will be instrumental in the budgeting process, completing long-term financial planning and forecasting, and working with the executive on capital development proposals. You will also be responsible for calculating ROI forecasts and ensuring the delivery of capital projects within budget.
