Based at St. Albans campus

As an Employability Trainer at Oaklands College, you will be responsible for developing and delivering a variety of employability programmes to meet the needs of learners, employers, and stakeholders. Your role will involve delivering consistently good or better teaching sessions, incorporating an effective range of learning strategies and technologies that enable outstanding learning outcomes. You will also be responsible for maintaining data for learners, initial assessment records, enrolment, daily registers, and outcomes. Additionally, you will prepare learners for employment, career progression, or further study, including the contextualisation of digital, maths, and English skills.

Required Skills:

Level 2 qualifications in English & maths (GCSE, Functional Skills or equivalent). (E)

Assessor (E) and IQA qualifications (D)

Level 3 teaching qualification (E)

Planning and Organisational Skills (E)
