Senior Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at ESS. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen and staff in the absence of the Head Chef.
Responsibilities:
- To be responsible for ensuring all kitchen staff are preparing and presenting quality food that meets our high standards.
- To oversee daily kitchen operations, including menu planning, inventory management, and supply chain coordination.
- To provide guidance and training to junior staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
About the Role:
As a Sous Chef at ESS, you will be an integral part of our kitchen team, working closely with the Head Chef to deliver exceptional dining experiences for our customers. You will be responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of the kitchen, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff supervision.
With a strong focus on quality and customer satisfaction, you will ensure that all dishes meet our high standards and are presented in a visually appealing way. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations, and promoting a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
In addition to your culinary expertise, you will possess excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of kitchen staff. You will also be able to work effectively under pressure, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent role in a high-volume kitchen environment.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality dishes and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of kitchen staff.
