About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Apprentice to join our team at Summerhill's Little Treasures. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, caring, and stimulating educational environment for our children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Form strong relationships with children, ensuring they feel comfortable and secure in their surroundings.
  • Provide a nurturing environment that encourages learning through play and exploration.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality care and education.
  • Ensure the preschool is a safe space for children, staff, and others, adhering to safeguarding and child protection protocols.
  • Develop partnerships with parents and external agencies to support the development of the whole child.
  • Maintain professionalism at all times, upholding confidentiality, reliability, punctuality, and behavior standards.
  • Follow instructions and seek guidance to support your growth within the EYFS setting.
  • Take on delegated tasks from the school leadership team and contribute to the preschool's overall success.
  • Provide a safe, caring, and stimulating environment, both indoors and outdoors, at all times.
  • Ensure the EYFS setting meets Ofsted requirements and works collaboratively with local professionals to benefit children and families.
  • Understand and implement EYFS setting policies and procedures, including child protection and incident response.
  • Maintain accurate records, including attendance, accident, and incident reports.
  • Liaise closely with parents, exchanging information about children's progress and encouraging parental involvement.
