Job Summary:
The Rivers C.E Academy Trust is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our team. As an Early Years Educator, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, caring, and stimulating educational environment for our children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Form relationships with children, enabling them to feel comfortable and secure in their surroundings.
- Provide an environment where children can learn through play and exploration.
- Work collaboratively with the team to deliver a high standard of care and education.
- Ensure the preschool is a safe environment for children, staff, and others.
- Develop partnerships with parents/carers to increase involvement in their child's development.
- Develop partnerships with external agencies to support the development of the whole child.
- Ensure professionalism at all times, including confidentiality, reliability, punctuality, and behavior.
- Follow instructions and take guidance to support own development within the EYFS setting.
- Be responsible for tasks delegated by the school leadership team.
- Provide a safe, caring, stimulating educational environment, both indoors and outdoors, at all times.
- Help ensure the EYFS setting meets Ofsted requirements at all times.
- Work with other professionals in the local area for the benefit of children and families.
- Understand and work to EYFS setting policies and procedures, including child protection issues and responding to incidents, accidents, complaints, and emergencies.
- Maintain accurate records, including daily attendance, accident, and incident reports.
- Liaise closely with parents/carers, informing them about the nursery and its curriculum, exchanging information about children's progress, and encouraging parents' involvement.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as directed, in accordance with the preschool aims and objectives.
Requirements:
- Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection issues.
- Ability to work as part of a team to deliver a high standard of care and education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
