Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Network/Infrastructure Technician to join our team. As an Infrastructure Services Delivery Expert, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and administering infrastructure services, systems, applications, and configurations in accordance with GKN standards and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver infrastructure services to agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems associated with the infrastructure environment
- Work with hardware and software vendors to resolve technical support issues
- Coordinate and work with global architects and other regional Data Center teams to ensure infrastructure and systems meet GKN Aerospace standards in regards to functionality, security, and maintainability
- Actively monitor the system infrastructure to manage business systems and security risks
- Actively work with automating the IT infrastructure delivery
- Event Management; monitoring, measuring against SLA, triggering, and reporting
- Incident Management; log all incidents and resolve as quickly as possible
- Change Management; process approved changes from Build into Run
- Asset and Configuration Management
Requirements
- IT Service Desk and/or IT infrastructure experience
- An ability to follow processes
- Self-driven with a motivation to succeed and provide world-class services to the business
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Experience working in a high-availability, high-demand environment
- Able to work effectively in a virtual team environment
- Strong documentation skills
- Good communication skills in English – both verbal and written
