Network and Infrastructure Technician

About the Role
We're looking for a skilled Network and Infrastructure Technician to join our team at GKN Aerospace. As an IT Infrastructure Specialist, you'll play a key role in developing, maintaining, and administering our infrastructure services, systems, applications, and configurations.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver infrastructure services to agreed SLA
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems associated with the infrastructure environment
- Work with hardware and software vendors to resolve technical support issues
- Coordinate with global architects and other regional Data Center teams to ensure infrastructure meets GKN Aerospace standards
- Actively monitor the system infrastructure to manage business systems and security risks
- Automate IT infrastructure delivery processes
- Manage events, incidents, and changes to infrastructure
- Asset and Configuration Management
Requirements
- IT Service Desk and/or IT infrastructure experience
- Ability to follow processes and procedures
- Self-driven with a motivation to succeed and provide world-class services
- Experience working in high-availability, high-demand environments
- Able to work effectively in a virtual team environment
- Strong documentation skills and good communication skills in English
