Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Prospero Teaching. The successful candidate will work closely with an autistic child, providing 1:1 support and contributing to their educational and personal development.

About the Role:
  • Provide 1:1 support to a child with autism, promoting their social, emotional, and academic growth.
  • Work collaboratively with the child's educational team to develop and implement individualized support plans.
  • Support the child's communication and language needs, using strategies to promote effective communication.
  • Assist with the child's daily routine, including meal times, toileting, and personal care.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of the child's Individual Education Plan (IEP).
Requirements:
  • Level 2+ Teaching Assistant Qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience working with children with autism and other special needs.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, parents, and educational staff.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Enhanced DBS certificate and registration with the online update service.
