Main Responsibilities:

  • To oversee the daily management of children's homes, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Lead and support staff in their roles, fostering a culture of best practice and high-quality care.
  • To model and promote best practice approaches in managing challenging behaviors, ensuring a consistent and coherent level of care.
  • To register as a manager with OFSTED and collaborate with the senior management team to ensure the best interests of young people, staff, and the company are met.
  • To act as the designated safeguarding lead.

Key Tasks:

  • To maintain up-to-date policies, procedures, and frameworks that underpin the homes, representing best practice and reflecting the company's values and culture.
  • To establish and utilize methods for evaluating the quality of care provided by staff and implementing improvements where necessary, promoting continuous improvement.
  • To model best practice approaches in working with and supporting children with challenging behaviors.
  • To ensure the regular use of effective handovers and debriefs for staff.
  • To participate in the placement of children and their transition process in and out of the home.
