Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and passionate Support Worker to join our team of professionals working with vulnerable youth in Derby. This is a temporary position, with the possibility of becoming permanent in the future.

About the Role

We are looking for an individual who can make a positive impact on the lives of children and young people with complex needs. The successful candidate will work closely with foster carers, residential home staff, and other professionals to provide support and guidance to pupils.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver one-to-one lessons in core subjects and other areas required by students
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to individual student needs
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide detailed feedback
About You

We are seeking a candidate with:

  • Experience working with children and young people with SEMH, anxiety, Autism, ADHD, and Attachment Disorder
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage challenging behavior and engage disaffected pupils
  • Knowledge of child development and learning theories
  • Valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
