Job Title: Principal Business Consultant

About the Role:

The Principal Business Consultant is a key member of our team, responsible for delivering successful implementation projects while ensuring customer satisfaction and contributing to best practices within the group. This role requires strong leadership and mentoring skills, as well as the ability to work closely with clients and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement projects successfully, ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to best practices.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices within the group and mentor junior team members.
  • Support Project Managers on engagements, assisting with SOW creation, project planning, and other functional responsibilities.
  • Lead Business Consultants on implementation projects, providing guidance and expertise in functional areas.
  • Maintain full chargeability on one or more client accounts simultaneously.
  • Author Best Practice Documents in functional areas.
  • Identify and pursue sales opportunities for additional consulting work at client sites.
  • Provide information to Managers, Professional Services Directors, and Account Managers as needed.
  • Provide industry and functional expertise, leading discovery workshops to design, configure, test, and produce solutions for client business needs.
  • Serve as the client's principal point of contact for consultation and expert advice.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers on client questions and issues regarding product solutions and configurations.
  • Perform as Lead Business Consultants in workshops and requirements design phases of projects.
  • Mentor and role-model Business Consultants in functional areas of product solutions.
  • Work with Managers to enhance, publish, and train staff on implementation best practices in specific functional areas.
  • Present product solutions to client executive and user-level audiences.
  • Support Project Managers in obtaining client signoff of deliverables and milestones.
  • Assume hands-on project implementation duties in all phases of product implementation, reporting to Project Managers.
  • Provide sales and presales support through estimation, document authoring, and hands-on demonstrations in specific functional areas.
  • Support Technical Consultants by providing business and functional guidance, reviewing, testing, and validating scripted solutions.
  • Consult with ION Product Management to exchange information on industry developments and improve ION products.
  • Assist with services best practices.
Requirements:
  • Experience with Openlink Endur product implementations.
  • 5-10 years' experience in ETRM industry, systems implementation, or similar project exposure, preferably in a consulting or similar role.
  • Middle Office/Risk subject matter expertise and 5+ years of Endur Middle Office implementation experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Economics, or a related IT field, or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Ability to work as part of a project team structure.
  • Ability to work onsite at client locations.
  • 8-10 years of direct experience in designing, configuring, and troubleshooting installations in client environments.
  • 8-10 years of industry/systems experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in more than one area of product configuration and in one or more industry product sets.
  • Strong client-facing skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
