As a Cafe Operations Manager at EngineeringUK, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of one of our cafes. With a passion for customer service and proven people management skills, you will lead a team to deliver excellent service and maintain a clean, tidy, and organized environment.

The ideal candidate will have a background in hospitality, supervisory level and above, and a commitment to excellent customer service. They will also possess strong leadership skills, able to motivate and support a growing team.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations, including routines, processes, sales standards, and changes as necessary
  • Hold full profit and loss accountability for the cafe
  • Maximize sales, impact, and presentation in the cafe, ensuring everything is safe and legal for customers and colleagues
  • Understand key drivers of our service plan and deliver to standard required
  • Select, train, and develop team members to enable them to feel proud of their work
  • Act as a cafe menu expert, sharing knowledge with the team
  • Ensure customers are served quickly and receive high-quality food and drinks in a clean, tidy environment

Requirements

  • A background in hospitality, supervisory level and above
  • A commitment to excellent customer service
  • People management skills that allow you to lead by example and coach in an inclusive manner
