Job Title: Sensory Specialist Teaching Assistant

We are seeking an experienced Sensory Specialist Teaching Assistant to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a Sensory Specialist Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with visual impairments in a Primary school setting.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have experience supporting children with visual impairments and a strong understanding of the roles and responsibilities of a Sensory Specialist Teaching Assistant. They will be confident in leading individual and small group activities and have a passion for making a positive impact on the education of children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support children with visual impairments in a Primary school setting
  • Lead individual and small group activities
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement effective support plans
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
  • Experience supporting children with visual impairments
  • Strong understanding of the roles and responsibilities of a Sensory Specialist Teaching Assistant
  • Confidence in leading individual and small group activities
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff
