Learning Support Assistant Opportunity

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and caring Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming school in Lincoln. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with their learning needs, working closely with the class teacher to ensure students are on track and engaged.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support students in small groups or one-to-one settings, helping them with their learning needs.
  • Work closely with the class teacher to ensure students are on track and engaged.
  • Assist students with special educational needs (SEN) to reach their full potential.
  • Help with classroom management and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Support students in understanding lesson content and completing their work.
  • Promote the emotional and social development of students.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children or in an educational setting (preferred).
  • A calm, patient, and positive approach.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • A passion for working with young people and supporting their education.
  • A willingness to work flexibly and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of special educational needs (SEN) is an advantage but not essential.
  • Driving License is required.
  • Have an updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
