Assistant Driller / Site Labourer

Are you a motivated and enthusiastic individual with a background in a labour-intensive role? We are seeking a skilled Assistant Driller / Site Labourer to join our team in Newmarket, Cambridgeshire.

About the Role

As an Assistant Driller, you will be part of a two-man team supporting the Lead Driller to complete drilling projects across the UK and occasionally in Europe.

  • Operate drilling equipment, including rotary drilling and dynamic/windowless sampling
  • Collect samples and install monitoring equipment
  • Ensure work areas are safe and follow H&S procedures
  • Travel to sites across the UK during the working week and stay local to the drilling site Monday-Friday
Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Lead Driller to complete drilling projects
  • Operate drilling equipment and collect samples
  • Install monitoring equipment and ensure work areas are safe
  • Follow H&S procedures and other ad-hoc duties
Requirements
  • Motivated and enthusiastic individual with a background in a labour-intensive role
  • Category B driving licence (ideally supplemented with Category B+E, C1+E, or C entitlement)
  • Ability to stay away from home Monday-Friday
  • Basic IT skills
  • Competencies/accreditations such as CSCS, SPA/PIA, Personal Track Safety (PTS) would be beneficial
