Hours: 22:30-7:00 Sunday to Thursday

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our night shift engineering team. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for electrical and mechanical fault finding and rectification on production machinery, primarily carrying out pre-planned maintenance to on-site machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

* Electrical and mechanical fault finding and rectification on production machinery
* Primarily carry out pre-planned maintenance to on-site machinery
* Follow health and safety policies and procedures
* Collaborate with the engineering manager to ensure smooth production of the plant
* Carry out repairs on conveyors and automated machinery in a timely manner
* Ensure tool and storage room is organized and has an up-to-date inventory list
* Ensure a clean and organized workspace to maintain a healthy working environment

Requirements:

* Previous experience as a maintenance engineer in a FMCG, food manufacturing or automated environment with a mechanical or electrical bias
* Relevant electrical/mechanical fault finding, repair and maintenance experience
* Knowledge/experience of electrical systems (PLCs, control panels and testing) is advantageous
* Ability to work alone and as part of a team
* Relevant electrical/mechanical qualifications (City & Guilds 1-3, NVQ 1-3, 17th or 18th Wiring Regulations)
* Willing to learn and collaborate with engineers to share knowledge

* Salary between £52,000-£54,000 dependent on experience
* 31 days annual leave (inclusive of public holidays) – plus a salary sacrifice scheme to purchase up to 5 more days annual leave
