Job Opportunity: Empowering Learning is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Special Educational Needs Specialist.

Job Summary: We are looking for a teaching assistant to work with pupils who present with SEMH and other SEN.

Key Responsibilities:

* Work on a 1:1 basis with pupils in the classroom and utilize the outdoor space
* Lead small group interventions with pupils working below age expected levels
* De-escalate situations where challenging behavior has arisen
* Liaise with senior members of staff in school around progress of the pupils
* Contribute towards the wider goals of the school

Requirements:

* Previous experience of working with special educational needs
* Ability to build relationships with children who struggle to engage within lessons
