About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Building Services Engineer to join our team at SSE Transmission. As an Electrical and Mechanical Building Services Specialist, you will play a key role in providing specialist engineering support on high-profile and technically complex HVDC Converter Station Projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, review, and approve electrical building services designs and installations for our converter stations.
  • Work with our Civil Building Designer, HVDC OEM, and Tier 1 Contractors to develop and review mechanical building services designs and installations.
  • Assess and critically challenge contractor submissions.
  • Represent Project Engineering at Contractor Reviews and present RIBA stage 3+ design submissions at Internal LCP Gate 3 Design Authority Review presentations.
Requirements
  • Hold a Degree or MSc in Building Services Engineering, be a Chartered Engineer, or demonstrate relevant experience.
  • Have excellent communication skills and the ability to demonstrate diligence and prioritize workload.
  • Be familiar with a range of technical solutions used in Building Services Installations.
