The Role

We're looking for an experienced Control Systems Engineer to join our Manufacturing Technology Function. As a key member of our team, you'll support engineers across various manufacturing areas, including heat treatment, machining, and final assembly technologies.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading engineering projects to optimize and re-engineer systems with a hands-on approach.
  • Updating programs and electrical drawings as needed.
  • Creating Functional Design Specifications (FDS) to align project goals with team expectations.
  • Providing project progress updates and escalating issues to meet milestones.
  • Serving as a subject matter expert for technical machine requirements during RFQs.

Key Projects

You'll work on exciting projects like improving coolant and filtration systems for CNC machines, automating work holdings, quality inspection systems, oil and solvent systems, vacuum systems, and process control systems.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or Control Systems.
  • 5 years of relevant field experience.
  • Project management skills.
  • Siemens TIA Portal PLC programming and application.
  • Industrial Ethernet communication knowledge.
  • Experience with data types and analog applications.
  • Mitsubishi PLC programming.
  • Tier 1 or OEM automotive manufacturing experience (desirable).
  • Knowledge of CNC machining process control systems.
