About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team of experienced SEN/SEND tutors as an Academic Mentor for Vulnerable Learners. We are seeking a qualified teacher with a passion for transforming the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners.

In this role, you will provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND), Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH), Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD), or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Provide flexible and holistic trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring to young people with varying learning needs
  • Develop and implement individualized lesson plans to meet the unique needs of each student
  • Work collaboratively with our SEN/SEND Support Team to ensure every placement is a success for the young person and you
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Professional Teaching Qualifications (Qualified Teacher Status/QTS/QTLS)
  • A minimum of 2 years teaching experience
  • Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or other Additional Educational Needs
  • An Enhanced DBS check (we can assist with obtaining this if needed)

We offer a competitive salary of £25-£35 per hour, depending on your experience and qualifications. You will also have access to:
